Winter Pamper Routine

Welcome to winter, it’s cold outside, your central heating is drying out your skin, the wind has beaten your face to oblivion and your summer tan has faded; its time to treat yourself. One of my favourite things to do on cold winter nights is to have a pamper evening. It is important to look after yourself all year round, but especially in winter when the elements can be very harsh and damaging to your skin.

First thing to do when beginning your pamper evening is to run a bath. The best bath products are undoubtedly from LUSH. LUSH have the biggest and best range of bath products all of which can aid your relaxation evening. In winter, I tend to lean towards festive ‘Christmas’ inspired bath products such as the Star Dust bath bomb, the Frozen bath bomb and the Bar Humbug bubble bar. Cheaper alternatives to LUSH bath products are the ‘Fizz Bars’ from the Zoella Beauty Range. Fizz bars are great because you can snap off a small section of the bar and save the rest for your next pamper evening.


While the bath is running it is time to take your make-up off. First, start by using Cleansing Water to remove any make-up/dirt from the surface of your face; I like to use Micellar cleansing water because it is really gentle on your skin, affordable and really easy to use. Once you have applied the Micellar water to a cotton pad and removed make-up, use a cleansing oil to cleanse your skin. My personal favourite is the ‘Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil’ by Body Shop. Apply the cleansing oil to dry skin, rub into your skin in soft, circular motions. I then like to apply a coconut oil to rehydrate my skin.

Now your bath has finished running and your face feels squeaky clean its time to apply a facemask. I would advise using the Origins facemasks, depending on your skin type I would recommend the Clear Improvement mask (for oil prone skin) and the Origins Drink Up mask (for dry skin). Pop on your facemask and get into your bath because its time to relax!

Once you have finished relaxing in your wonderful smelling bath, wash off your facemask. It is really important to moisturise your face and body after a bath. I love using the Aveeno moisturiser on my face because it is really refreshing but great for sensitive skin. When moisturising your body I would recommend using a body butter examples of some amazing ones include: Soap and Glory Righteous Butter and the Body Shop Body Butter.

Now that your skin is glowing, your face is replenished you are ready to battle anything the winter weather throws at you!
