The Perfect Pamper Night

We all deserve a luxury spa night but this can come with a hefty price tag. That’s why I prefer to do a little pamper session right in the comfort of my own home, especially on a Sunday night after a hectic weekend to prepare for yet another long hard working week. There’s nothing more soothing and uplifting than a good old bath.

To take your regular bath to the next level for your pamper time, try popping in some bath salts to relieve any stress. I enjoy the Therapie Himalayan Detox Bath Salts. These are extraordinary and really enhance the bath time experience. They are also perfect if you have trouble sleeping.

A pamper session should also include a lovely face mask. First start by washing your face with your favourite cleanser or balm to remove make-up and ensure you’re applying the mask to clean skin. I’m currently using the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Natural Lift and Sculpt Moringa Cleansing Balm. Long name, but it’s a great cleanser! For those with oily or acne-prone skin, you will love a clay-based mask to de-congest and draw out any impurities. The Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Cleansing Mask is great and so too is the Glamglow SuperMud Clearing Treatment Mask, and for those on a budget the Una Brennan Tea Flower Pore Purifying Clay Mask, works just as well. If you have dry skin, you’ll enjoy a hydrating mask like the No7 Beautiful Skin Hydration Mask for Dry/Very Dry Skin, which you can leave on whilst in the bath and then wash off. If you’d prefer a more intense treatment then go for something like the Origins Drink Up Intensive Mask, which can be left on all night to give your skin the moisture that it needs.

Follow up the mask with a serum or an oil. A great all-rounder suitable for all skin types is the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II. This is oil-free and will help to prevent ageing whilst also bringing radiance back into your skin.

A step not to be forgotten in your pamper night is body moisturising. This is a step many can’t be bothered with, but your skin will thank you for making it so super smooth. If you love the feeling of being slathered in moisturiser, then go for a body butter, as these are richer than normal moisturisers. The Body Shop has an amazing range of scents so there’s bound to be one you love! If you hate the feeling of moisturiser on your skin then the Vaseline Spray & Go is a great lighter option, as this instantly soaks into the skin, whilst giving it enough nourishment.

Moving onto the feet. Yes, your feet need some lovin’ too. To get those heels perfectly soft, use the Scholl Pedi Velvet Smooth Electronic Pedicure Foot File. To keep your feet this lovely, massage Soap & Glory Heel Genius onto clean feet, pop on some cotton socks and leave on overnight to wake up with the softest feet of your life!

Lastly, no pamper session is complete without a manicure. Trim and file your nails using nail scissors and a nail file – my personal favourite is the Leighton Denny small crystal nail file. Next, it’s time to clean up those cuticles. Get yourself some cuticle remover, a cuticle tool and a cuticle trimmer to complete this step. After the satisfied feeling this gives you, you can apply a base coat, the colour of your choice and a top coat. Once the polish has dried, use a hand cream like the Nivea Smooth Nourishing Hand Cream, or, if you’re after something a bit more luxurious for your pamper night, the Elizabeth Arden Intensive Moisturizing Hand Treatment is lovely.

Enjoy pampering yourselves ladies!
