Whilst summer might be my favourite of the four seasons, what with all the sun, longer days and warmer weather, it's now been and gone for another year. But don't worry, autumn trails closely behind in second place. Autumn marks the turn of longer nights and chilly weather, but it's also the perfect excuse to darken up your wardrobe and makeup palette. And nothing will make an outfit pop more than a set of finely manicured hands. So why not set off your look with one of the newly released Barry M A/W15 nail shades?
You'd be lying if you said you didn't have at least one Barry M nail polish in your collection. What's not to love about them? The iconic Brit brand is cheap (most retail at around £2.99 a pop), cheerful and come in every colour under the sun. With something here for every style and taste, you're bound to find yourself that much needed signature nail colour for this season. Here's what they've pulled out of the bag for this year's collections...
Sunset Daylight Curing in 'Dark Side of the Shroom', 'Vengeance is Wine' & 'Plum On Baby Light My Fire'
These polishes market themseves as at an home and easy way to get pro salon gel nails without needing a UV lamp, or salon money. There's no need for a basecoat and it comes off easily with regular remover. Cleverly named, these new shades are a great addition to the collection, with my favourite being Dark Side of the Shroom, a dead ringer for my favourite Barry M nail shade (and perhaps all time favourite nail polish), Dusky Mauve.
Gelly Hi-Shine in 'Black Currant', 'Black Grape' & 'Black Cherry'
These three aptly-named midnight hues are part of the ever-popular Gelly Hi-Shine range, and only need one coat for a solid layer of colour. Chip-resistant and gel effect, these are great for long-lasting wear during the winter months. I find it hard to find a blue that borders on being black, but Black Grape seems to do the job and live up to that.
Speedy in 'Slip Stream', 'Sprint Finish' & 'Dragster'
These nail varnishes are famed for drying at lightening speed, creating a quick manicure in seconds. The innovative flat brush allows for an easier and more precise application, so that intense colour look can be achieved in just 2 coats. Dragster is a gun metal grey, and whilst looking more steely in the bottle, acually dries as a pretty dark and vampy near-black shade. Layer glitter on top for a more out-there finish.
